I am a Marine Corps combat veteran of Viet Nam. I developed prostate cancer from exposure to Agent Orange while in the jungles of Vietnam. I am seeking treatment that is not covered by Medicare or the VA at this time. And time is of the essence for me as my cancer is stage three and is growing. The treatment, High-intensity Focal Ultrasound, HIFU, has a high rate of success in treating prostate cancer with the least side effects. It delivers maximum effectiveness against the cancer while minimizing damage and long-term effects to my healthy cells and organs. HIFU has been used outside the United States for decades with great success. It was approved for use in the United States recently; however, it is not covered by insurance. Private therapy is $25,000, which is outside my financial ability to pay at this time. So, I am seeking assistance in paying for it.
