My dad told me something years ago that is always in the back of my mind.  He told me that there’s always someone out there who is worse off than you.  After reading some of these campaigns, I wonder if my need is really something I should be asking for help with.  I have a wonderful supervisor who has helped me realize that it’s okay to not be okay.  Even though I haven’t been able to work for a month, she still checks on me because she knows I am having such a hard time mentally as a result of my mobility problems.

Over the past year and a half I have been involved in a major car accident that caused injuries inside and out (my knees were the worst).  I’ve had two major falls with one causing a concussion and further injuring my knees.  I can no longer walk without experiencing excruciating pain and without assistance.  I can no longer stand to cook, clean, I now have a shower chair, and I can’t walk the dogs or even take them out to the bathroom.  All of these responsibilities have fallen on my teenage daughter.  Way too much responsibility for her.  It’s just me and her, so there is no one else here to help shoulder the responsibility.  I hate it for her very much.

I found out from the orthopedic doctor that I need dual knee replacement surgery.  However, he and two other physicians have told me that if I don’t lose a certain amount of weight I won’t be able to have surgery for another six or seven years.  I have recently discovered my chiropractor has a knee program that uses stem cell therapy that regenerates the tissue in the knee and rebuilds the cartilage.  No surgery needed.  It’s of course all natural and insurance does not cover it.  I’ve researched it and feel confident this is the safest way to go.  It is also half the cost of knee replacement surgery.

I am asking for help please with raising the funds to have this procedure done and help with supplementing my short term disability in order to keep a roof over our head and our bills paid until all of this is over.  I am already ready for this to be over and wish I could just wake up tomorrow, walk freely, and cook my daughters favorite meal for her.  I know God has a plan and is always working for my good.  We covet your prayers more than anything.  Thank you!
