Let us tell you about an amazing woman named Sue … not only is she a great friend and mother, she is a wonderful nurse. Sue is a Daisy Award recipient. DAISY Award recipients are registered nurses who exemplify the nursing values: Extraordinary Compassion, Courage, Integrity, in every situation! These individuals consistently demonstrate excellence in the delivery of patient care and promotion of their professional nursing practice. Her many colleagues and patients can attest to her ability to place IVs that no one else could get, hold hands and pray with someone that was scared, aways advocate for what was right, rush to every code, and never call in sick … until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 … breast cancer … that had spread to her spine … and she needed treatments.

She has been through so many treatments – kyphoplasty (multiple times), chemo, radiation, immunotherapy … the list goes on and on …

Through all of her treatments, she has remained hopeful, strong in her faith, and determined to fight!!

As a friend – she is the first to offer help, take pictures and video at your wedding, never forget your birthday, always ready to pull a prank, and ALWAYS ready to pray for you in your time of need.

Now, our dear friend needs our help … first and foremost – PRAYERS 🙏 … Sue’s cancer has spread to her brain. This has caused vision changes and difficulty walking. This has made it difficult for her to get around and impossible to continue working.

The financial burden that cancer places on a family can be crippling, especially when someone can no longer work. Sue’s husband Kevin is now unemployed after working for O’Charleys for the past 27 years with their sudden closing. They are now needing financial assistance to help with purchasing handi-capable devices and renovating their split level home and bathrooms for accessibility as she keeps facing new physical challenges.

Please consider making a donation. No amount is too small.

Thank you for your prayers and consideration.

*Special thanks to Mom’s dear friend Renee for helping me put this together!*
