Hello again.
I’m happy to say I finished radiation today!!!
I start chemo therapy Wednesday.
I want to thank everyone always for their thoughts, Prayers, well wishes, invitations to Church, donations.. everything!!!
Update: May 19, 2023
I received my treatment plan today. Radiation on brain in about two weeks. 5 days straight. Then chemotherapy immediately after.
They aren’t certain where it started but it’s mostly in lymph nodes in neck area.
Doctor said it’s unusual whatever I have going on.
Besides all details about treatment.
What keeps going through my mind.
He said .. if I don’t respond to treatment well .I probably have 1-2 years. If I do respond well to treatment..4-5 years or possibly more.
He repeated to me numerous time. Heather we are giving you this treatment to try and prolong your life. He kept saying.. go do what makes you happy!! Spend time with those you love!
He had a mask on..but his eyes when he finally said ” I’m so sorry”
I made first appointment available to get things started.
I’m only 52. Unfortunately I’m not prepared for any of this.

Update: May 11, 2023
I have definite, confirmed..lung cancer..metastasized to my lymph nodes and brain.
Not curable. Not looking good at all.
I start radiation for brain cancer in a few weeks. Chemotherapy after that for the other areas.
Im numb.
My doctor wouldn’t say ” terminal” but would say ” uncurable ” stage 4. Metastasized to my lymph nodes and brain.
All I want at this point is to be able to get life insurance and set up college funds for my grand babies

My name is Heather Squires. I am 52 years old. I have two daughters and two grandsons. (10 & 4). I take care of my 75-year-old mother who is a heart patient. I lost my dad on 10/31/2013. My only sibling, my little sister Nikki who committed suicide 10/31/2020. Then on 4/14/2022 her oldest son, my nephew was shot and murdered. Still no arrests. Now I have been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to my lymph nodes. I’m trying to get disability and insurance. I have only $250 to pay to get my driver’s license back. I am going to need transportation to treatment. But most importantly, I need life insurance. I have zero income right now and no food stamps. I am in desperate need of any help I can get. It will be most graciously appreciated. I want to make my final arrangements so my daughters don’t have to. They have been through enough. Also, please know I am going to give this cancer the fight of my life! With everything I’ve got in me!!!!

Ive had to postpone treatment since August because of side effects.
I never could have imagined how much this treatment would cost. Even with insurance my copays are in the $50,000 and above and I still have a long way to go.
