I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some personal news with you. Recently, I received a diagnosis of an incredibly rare form of cancer that requires an invasive operation in July. The surgery will involve removing 30% of my bowel and undergoing a “chemo wash” to target any hidden cells. Following the operation, I anticipate being in the hospital for approximately 7-10 days, with a recovery period of around 3 months that will include physiotherapy and other treatments.
The news of my diagnosis has been a shock, and the road ahead seems daunting. However, I am trying to remain positive and hopeful as I navigate through this challenging time. The support and encouragement I have received from friends and family have been a source of great strength for me, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you who has reached out with kind words and gestures.
As I face the upcoming surgery and the uncertainties that lie beyond, I find myself confronted not only with the physical and emotional challenges of my condition but also with the financial burden it entails. Having been unable to work for an extended period due to health issues earlier this year, I am now faced with mounting medical bills and living expenses that are becoming increasingly difficult to manage alone.
