My sister and brother in law (Wendy and Brandon Rose) and their family have been missionaries in Hondurus for the past 2.5 years. Their plans were to be there indefinitely. However, due to Brandon’s health conditions that stem from his service in Afghanistan they have made the tough decision to transition back to the states. The doctor’s in Hondurus tried to treat and care for his condition, but came to the conclusion that it was in his best interest to go back to the states for treatment. Brandon had been back in the states for a month for testing and medical care. He recently went back to Hondurus to rejoin his family. They, with their 7 children will be arriving in Bangor Aug. 9th with suitcases. Brandon will need to go back to Ohio for further testing and possible surgery at the end of August. They had sold everything they own when they left Ohio 3 years ago. Their transition is going to be difficult as they both are seeking jobs, housing, and transportation for their family of 9. They have reached out to the VA to see what services they would qualify for, however that is a long process. All donations will go directly to the Rose family to help ease some of the financial burdens for this transition.
