I appeal to you all on my behalf a resilient married mother of 6 who is courageously battling a hereditary neuroendocrine cancer that has caused tumors to grow in my heart and brain. Throughout my treatment journey, I have kept a positive attitude and a strong resolve to survive however the harsh realities of all the surgeries and other therapies I have been through, have taken a huge toll on my dental health.
The side effects of these cancer treatments have severely impacted my teeth, causing decay, weakened enamel, and oral infections leading to immense discomfort, pain and affecting my ability to eat and speak comfortably.
Amidst this challenging fight against my cancer, and maintaining the medical costs for those treatments, the additional burden of costly dental procedures, including extractions, dental implants, and dentures have created an overwhelming financial strain for me and my family.
