Hello, my name is Sabrina, and I am 48 years old. I am a single mother of a daughter named Melodia. On 3/7/2022 my life changed when I was diagnosed with cancer. I was only aware of a mass on my ovary until I went into surgery at UCSF. After the removal of ALL my girly parts and a portion of the lining around my intestine and stomach, I found out I had 2 tumors, one in my uterus and a huge one (14×14 cm) on my left ovary. The Dr gave me a life expectancy of 4-5 year. I will fight hard though. I start chemo in 2 weeks. I need the money to help pay off a few bills and the rest of what I owe on my car. I am trying to eat clean and organic since I found out the news. It is pretty expensive to try and be healthy. I figure if I didn’t have a car payment each month, I can use the money to buy my food. I was denied SSDI, and I am currently waiting for FMLA to kick in. I know FMLA is a very little amount of money each month. Not enough to survive on. I want to go back to work. I need the tools to get better so I can do that. I work at a shelter for people who have mental illness, drug addiction and are homeless. I love my job; I love helping people. Now I guess it is time I ask for some help. I know there are a lot of people asking for a lot of money. I am trying to stay positive that somebody will be motivated by my story. Thank you for taking your time to read about me. I appreciate you, God Bless.
