Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraiser. I recently received some rather life-altering news from my doctor. I’m 33 years old and was initially being seen by my doctor for what we thought was an ovarian cyst. Sadly, upon further investigation, it turns out that I have cancerous tumors on my ovary and uterus. The tumor on my ovary is especially worrying as it is growing half a pound per week!
Obviously, being told that you have cancer is a serious affair. I feel as though my life has changed literally over night. Nobody wants to get news like this, but as bad as it is, the remedy is even worse. I was informed that I am going to need to get a hysterectomy… This is obviously not something most 33 year old women have to contemplate, and yet it is now the future I have to look forward to. An altered future… A very expensive future… I don’t know if I can afford this procedure, but I’ll have to figure out how and I really hope there’s someone out there that can help me. That’s why I am reaching out. Please help if you can!
Because I just started my current job not too long ago, I am presently ineligible for FMLA. So, I’m postponing my pre-op until April 26th. This also gives me a little time to hopefully raise some funds to help pay for this procedure. My operation is on May 4th, after which I will likely need a bit of time for recovery before I can get back to work.
I’ve estimated that between the cost of the procedure and the time I will miss from work, I will need approximately $10,000 to make it through this. However, regardless of how much I can raise, every single dollar will be wholeheartedly appreciated. Whether you donate $1 or $1,000, I promise you I can make good use of it in dealing with this horrible affliction.
Thank you so much for your time and for your willingness to even consider donating to me in my time of need. I truly appreciate you.
