My name is Kathy Avila. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian cancer November 20th 2023. I don’t have the income to cover my treatments to help me beat the cancer diagnosis. I’m 65 yrs old and unmarried. So I don’t have a 2nd income. I’m disabled, and almost died back in 2001 from a AVM brain bleed. I have a shunt in my head to my stomach. I was 42 at the time, and with my mother’s help, it took over two years to get back to somewhat of a normal Life. I can’t drive anymore, because I have short-term brain damage, which prevents me from driving to work every day. I take a ride in Phoenix to get to work. My days are long, because it takes time to get to work, and home when other people need the same drive home. I work at St. Joes Hospital Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Now I may have to stop working, because of my situation. I hope and pray that I can get the help I need. I’m a born-again Christian. God saved me once. My mother is 83 years old, and limited income. But she helps me in any way she can. She dedicated her life when I had my AVM. But is really hard for her now. I hope with your help. I can live a health-free life again. I have a kitty that depends on me also. So, hopefully, with your help. That will be a blessing from God. Thank You.
