Our very good and close family friend of over 20 years, Brett, was diagnosed in March with advanced liver disease and cirrhosis. He is only 42 years old. He is beloved by our family, including our 3 young children who just can’t get enough of “Uncle Brett.” He has been given less than two years to live if he does not receive a transplant in time, according to his doctors. Both of his parents passed away recently, and he is all on his own now without any income or means of obtaining any. Because of his condition, he is unable to work and has been waiting on Social Security Disability for months but has not been approved yet, despite our requests for them to expedite it. We have been trying and trying to find financial help for him without success. We really need help from some kind and generous souls to help provide for his medical expenses and personal needs. We have taken him into our home and have been caring for him the best we can, but it is way beyond our means at this point, and we just don’t know what to do. Please, please help. He is a very sweet person with a kind and loving heart, and he always has a positive and uplifting word for everyone around him. We love him so much and just want him to be okay.
