Hello. I am not a person that has ever asked for financial help nor am I proud to ask now, but my life is a financial mess thanks to going thru liver cancer and everything that goes along with being in remission and having tumor markers that still indicate I am very susceptible to getting positive cancer results again soon. Long story short, I owe so much in medical bills, past due house payments, and past due my car loan that I am now overwhelmed and cannot see a light at the end of what is turning out to be a never ending tunnel. I lost my parents when I was younger and have been on my own since I was 17. I’ve never been on government assistance of any type and I’m so proud to say that but as they say, “the struggle is real”. Now I’m almost 54 and due to ongoing medical issues, I can only work part time. If it was just me, I would endure this struggle as long as I have to, but my son and husband do not deserve to have to struggle too. I have prayed every day and I know that there must be a reason that I survived having 60% of my liver removed and chemo but it would have been so much easier financially on my family if I had not. I have always worked hard and strived to let others, strangers included, know that they MATTER and add value and blessings to this crazy life, so I am hoping that I can get some stress relief by asking for help just to pay some of my bills up to date.
