The money will be used for living expense because my son Danny is literally on borrowed time because of the medication he is currently on Milirone can not be on indefinitely, he is a brave and loving human being that have been so patiently waiting for a heart transplant.
Time and time again something else has arisen during this process. Dallas and Houston hospitals both will not take the case on. Currently, he is very limited in what he can do and has 2 under age children ages 15 Skye and Cantrell age 10 and a wife Canika to support. This fund is to ease his worry about living expenses that will continue while they are in Chicago undergoing the heart procedure transplant and testing. To add Danny has worked hard all his life caring for others in the food service industry.
Medication list of course is none stop. My dear son Danny like countless others that strive to do good sometimes cant catch a break. It started in 2014 defibrillator downtown fort worth in hopes that things would regulate. That was the only the beginning. He had complications with that also infection developed.
Next had to transfer to UT southwestern Medical center Dallas got admitted for heart failure complications. Things got serious at the time and point, Cause you see Danny heart is weak! Unlike others that can go in and open up valves input slints. It simply does not pump enough to keep up with his other organs. So lots of monitoring and added number of medication that can complicate other organs. Danny is at the point of literally no return he has been put on a pic line with a expensive medication Miliron that can not be stopped because without it the heart will fail and the defibilator will constantly shock him.
My sweet daughter in law his wife, Canika and children are adjusting but it is hard to see my family struggle to make it through rejection after rejection. Canika has taken on extra shifts to try to make ends up. She is juggling being full time mom while trying to attend school and maintain a house besides.
Now we are awaiting the upcoming visit to Chicago to get the medical team to take over with the real solution a New heart.
So you see this fund will definitely help ease the added stress of caring for two places starting in May for however long the stay in Chicago will be. We were told approximately one(1) year .
Hopefully all are aware that my son has received a donor and has had a succesful surgery and is awake and responding well thus far. Thanks to all of you and all the prayer. The recovery begins.
New chapter begins.
He will be in place till July/Aug 2024. Anything could happen or change in a second. So now Doctors appts regularly, taking daily rejection medications on top of trying to maintain children school, food and clothing. Life goes on with different circumstance arising all the time. This area is new to them with the extreme winters. they will not be use to the temperatures. What is needed is the essentials, food, clothing and gas for transportation to doctors.
