2nd Update!
I have officially lost ALL of my hair on my head. I went through round 2 of chemo and I did not like it one bit. I felt weak and tired the whole time, but afterwards I felt better. Keep the prayers coming❤️
UPDATE:
I have started my chemo as of 7-13-2023, and on 7-14-2023 I had a bone marrow biopsy. I am currently waiting for the results from that, but I am currently in a LOT of pain from it. The chemo has made me sick to my stomach and constantly tired. However, the lump on my neck has gone down drastically! Which is amazing news because it was causing me so much pain. Please continue to pray for me and my family as we go through this!
Hello everyone! My name is Destiny May, as some of you may know, I am a 23 year old girl who is just now starting out in this journey of life. I currently work a full time job and I have always worked hard for everything I have. I am wholeheartedly the kind of person who would much rather help someone else before my own needs, and I don’t like having to ask for help, I come by it quite honest. But sometimes you have to.
Recently, however, I was diagnosed with Large Diffuse B Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a type of cancer that makes it extremely hard for me to work in the type of environment that I work in, due to me currently work in a factory and my immune system just cannot properly tolerate it the way it should. With that being said, I will be missing quite a bit of work over the course of my treatments and traveling. Even with me missing work, bills will continue to be due, including medical expenses and everything else that comes with this disease.
I have a wonderful support team that will be helping me out as much as they possibly can, but they can only do so much, as can I. The physical and mental strength it takes to get through something like this is a whole different ballgame for me and the people in my life that it will affect as well. This is why I am starting this fundraiser in order to help with the financial aspect of my treatments. Anything helps, no matter how big or small. 100% of the funds will go to my medical bills, housing, gas, vehicle maintenance as we travel, personal bills and expenses. If I have anything left over, I plan to donate every last cent to the American Cancer Society. I ask that if you can’t donate, just please keep me in your thoughts and prayers and send good vibes my way as me and my tribe endure this journey, we will need every bit of it. Anything helps.
