Last Friday evening the world came to a screeching halt for my daughter and our family in general. There was no school so she took my granddaughter to the gorge for an outing. Upon returning home, she found her fiance dead. My grand daughter is 10 and I know she is aware of what happened. My daughter was so overcome she ended up in the hospital on Sunday with no insurance. They released her from the hospital to me today and she is going to have a long painful journey to recovery. My granddaughter is also going to need counseling as well. She hasn’t cried yet, she’s deflecting. Between the rent being due and the medical bills and it is overwhelming. This has hit our family very hard. My daughter’s whole future was changed in an instant.. I was very fond of him as well he exercised an old tradition and asked me for my permission to marry her. My heart breaks for my youngest daughter. There is just this feeling of helplessness and emptiness. The light has gone out of her eyes. Sudden deaths are the worst because there is no opportunity to say goodbye. Anything that anyone can do would be greatly appreciated. I’ve never done one of these, but she is really hurting right now. Search your heart and give as you can. My name is John Higgins I am her father and I will be handling the release of the funds to her. When you encounter a situation like this, you always think of it happening to other people. I’m doing the best that I can to offer support to both of them to the best of my ability through my own grief. I have faith to believe her outlook is going to change at some point but in the short term she needs help. Being the strong young independent woman she is and her daughter are the only strengths she has right now. There are many praying for them both and offering whatever love and emotional support that they can. She is so precious to me, please help!
