I want to start by saying, on behalf of Nick and Jaylen and their entire extended family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for each and every person who has either prayed for, donated, shared words of encouragement, or reached out in any way to Nick and Jaylen and family during these past few months. Your love, support, and Christian discipleship has been so very much appreciated and has made this battle so much easier to face for us all.

Update: As of today, Jaylen has been administered 4 rounds of chemotherapy total.  She is also being given a form of immunotherapy.  So far, her body has responded as you would expect… nausea, fatigue and body aches are pretty typical the week after chemo. Then, the following week she has a “good week” and is able to get up and around. Nick has also been researching alternative/holistic approaches and she has started several supplements to help her immune system endure the chemo treatments.  She will have 2 more rounds of chemotherapy before she heads back to MD Anderson, (Houston) in late November to undergo a CT scan which will tell if the tumor is responding to treatment. If all goes well she will continue the chemotherapy into the new year, which means the insurance deductible will start over and more out of pocket funds will be needed.

Although the previous fundraiser goal was met, I would like to begin another. As you can imagine, the cost of chemotherapy alone is overwhelming and a huge financial burden for them. In addition to this cost, they have surgeries, flights, hospital stays, food and supplement costs.   If you are able, please give what you can. If unable to donate monetarily, as I said before, please continue praying for this dear family. I am thoroughly convinced your prayers are working and a miracle is in the works.
