We are saddened by the loss of Saman Vakili, our dear friend and colleague, who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on November 3, 2022. A resident of Aliso Viejo and only 33 years old, he leaves behind his wife, Behnaz, and his one-year-old daughter, Mersana.
He was the kind of person who smiled at everyone. He was cheerful, funny, and generous with his time. For co-workers in a rush, Saman made the most impossible-sounding tasks happen on time. He was brilliant, hardworking, and beloved by everyone. He will be sorely missed.
As we struggle to make sense of this horrific loss, we ask for your help in providing for his daughter Mersana’s present and future financial needs. This fund has been created with the approval of his wife, Behnaz, and will aid in funeral costs, other immediate expenses, and essentials for Mersana’s daily life.
