my name is Reita and I have started this fundraiser because I’ve had so many medical expenses in the past year. I am currently working with doctors from the Cleveland Clinic to find out what is causing my issues. I have unintentionally lost 50 pounds since this summer. I’m exhausted all of the time and had to take time off work and am currently on medical leave.
I started having issues in 2022. My health has continued to decline after having a kidney infection in February of 2023. It was after this that I decided I need to take action and figure out what is going on. Since then, I have all these little new diagnosis. It’s tough getting tests and appointments scheduled because doctors are booked so far out. I decided to call the Cleveland clinic because a friend suggested them. I was finally able to there and do the initial visits with doctors. However, I do not have the money for follow up due to travel costs. I am trying to do tests at my local hospital, but they are booked out for several months. Needless to say, I have been frustrated in trying to get the answers I need.
Since I am unable to work at this time, and my short term disability is not enough to pay my all my bills, and has left me homeless. I am depending on friends and family for help right now and I owe money for my deductible and my out of pocket health expenses. I have over $10,000 in medical bills and they just keep coming as I seek answers.
Please consider helping me. I have no where else to turn . I have worked hard my entire life and I truly wish I could work during this time. I have never asked for help like this before. I am not used to being on this end of the fundraiser. I have been the one donating. It is very humbling.
