It’s so shocking to learn how quickly our life can change. I have always been one to prevent sickness and disease thru natural means; particularly in the last 25 years. I have no other chronic health issues and you know for many of you, I’ve served your electrical needs and treasured your business while being able to meet the challenging physical demands.
2 years ago I was diagnosed with 6 herniated/ruptured spinal discs. Being a guy who fights thru difficulties and pain most of my life; this was just another challenge. I’ve managed to deal with the pain and numbness for most of this time; by way of physical therapy, nutritional support, and NSAID drugs. But after our move to Belleville in July, the neuropathy in my right leg and shooting pain down my left thigh increased to new heights.
At the time of my diagnosis, the doctors at the nerve and disc institute recommended a new and very effective treatment for healing the discs; called spinal decompression/intradisc nutrosis. The cost in their clinic was over $5ooo at that time and not an option for me. But due to the escalating symptoms I now find myself at most critical juncture in my life that I never dreamed would overtake me. I had another neurologist look at me a month ago, and confirmed the clinical symptoms showing some destruction of the myelin sheath around the spinal cord. This he believes is causing my symptoms.
My insurance covers very little to none of the treatments; and due to our buying this house and using saved funds from the past year or two; I’m critically deficient in raising the money. However, I found a clinic in Novi that will provide the same treatments for over $1,000 less. So I’m planning on going there as soon as I have most of the funds. This is a non-invasive, non-surgical option that works well for most.
I say this in advance that anything you can comfortably donate toward these treatments would be so appreciated, and may help me return to the ability to walk, move, bend, drive a car as normal. I can feel the neuropathy creeping into my left foot and calf now as well; which I fear will eventually paralyze me. I can still walk, occasionally drive here and there, but for how much longer? The doctors in my clinic report a 95% success rate in the elimination of pain and loss of feeling in the legs and feet.
