Hello!
My name is Wendy Maurer-Palmer, and I am a 53 year old female with Multiple Sclerosis. I just retired after 17 years in animal welfare due to my progressive illness. Recently, my 2012 Mazda 2 became inoperable due to the many many miles the vehicle had. The car would costs 1000s to repair and just isnt worth the expense unless it had a whole new motor, coolant system, tires, brakes ect…
I live in a rural community in Tennessee, I have to commute 50 miles to my Neurologist. Getting seen by my primary doctor to monitor my diabetes has been very hard without my car as well. I have had to reschedule varies medical appointments because I don’t know when i can get to them as I have to rely on others for a ride. I haven’t had transportation in months, and I am beyond worried and stressed on how to obtain a vehicle. Since I worked for a nonprofit for many years, I didn’t have health insurance thru work when I was struck with MS. The medical bills were in the upper 1000s and my credit took a hard decline.
*I am reaching out to you today in a last-ditch effort for help. I have let my pride rule my head until now. I greatly appreciate any kindness you can show at this time. I am grateful you read my story.
My prayers and hopes are to get the down payment for a reliable vehicle. A vehicle that I can have my rollator fit into it, and get back to the freedom of life…and taking care of my health again.
Thank you Sincerely.
Wendy L Maurer Palmer
