My name is Ray Ratledge. I’m 73 years young. I have severe MS. I was diagnosed in 2001 and have battled that disease to this point. There really has been no improvement and it’s been a constant struggle for Mobility and cognition. Along the way I suffered many falls and ultimately tore my right rotator cuff and severely limited my right hands ability to function. I am in a power wheelchair every day and must have an aide to help me dress and use bathroom facilities. I have in the past been able to drive an specially equipped van but the control devices have failed and I have not been able to get them repaired.
I have done extensive research in some of the advanced medicines especially the regenerative medicine field. I am looking to go to Mexico to have a stem cell treatment to help regenerate the function of my right shoulder and hand. This will make what time I have remaining much simpler on me and more importantly on my wife. I am almost completely helpless with anything around the house but I could do more if I could just get some mobility in my arm and hand. I am planning to pay much of the bill from my money but I could use some help with the lodging and airfare to get to the clinic. That is the purpose for setting up this funding.
