I am trying to raise money for Geno’s cancer treatment (hormone therapy Lupron and radiation)! I do not want him to give up like his sister, Ally, because he cannot afford the treatment. She used all of her savings and mortgaged her home. She finally ran out of money! That is so sad because she was only 62. RIP Ally! We miss you so much! The Medicare doctors are bad enough through the United Health Care AARP Walgreens HMO plan. The urologist took one month to get Geno’s biopsy results and contact him via the telephone. He was devastated. His cancer has been in remission, and now it’s back. He is waiting for a referral to Oncology. He called his PCP, but he has to wait for the urologist to forward a request for authorization for treatment! He would love to see his Grandson Lorenzo grow up! When he had cancer in 2010, everything was done STAT, and he was in surgery within the first week! Now, the radiation cost is 20% of charges, and the Lupron copay is around $4000.00 (just like his sister)! That is not affordable, Mr. President and Obama!
