This medical emergency fundraiser is for Jana Cameron,  who is 37 years of age and has a son named Arnold who is 11 years of age. Joana is an American citizen who was born in Miami Florida. She traveled to Accra Ghana to pursue an educational class. While there she took a job in addition to school and placed her son Arnold in a private international school, so that he can continue his education.

While working on her job there in Accra, Joana began to experience intense pain in her abdomen area. She attempted to wait until her shift to end, but the pain increased to the point that it became unbearable. Joana was transported to the hospital by ambulance. While in the emergency room, it was recommended that she be admitted. Once admitted the doctor began to run test as well as take x-rays. On the second day in the hospital, the doctor reviewed the x-rays and diagnosed her as having Endometrial Ablation.  Joana was informed that she would need to undergo surgery to remove the lining from her uterus to stop the flow of blood.

In the meantime Joana is unable to work due to the pain that she’s experiencing. The doctor have prescribed medication to manage the pain. Currently she is unable to maintain her living expenses or pay her son’s tuition cost. Her job does not offer medical insurance, and because Joana is not a Ghanaian citizen,  she is not eligible to apply for a loan from her bank.

All of the donations received will directly pay for Joana’s surgery, her medication, her son’s school tuition and help with her living expenses. If you would like to assist with this family’s financial burden, any donation would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go to the Cameron family.

On behalf of Joana Cameron, and her son Arnold, I appreciate your love, support and your generosity in the days to come.
