Hi,

My name is Adetola Oduyejo, mother to my son Issah Rivera 14-year-old teen that just got diagnosed with Leukemia in December 2021 after multiple visits to the hospital, doctors would not figure out why my son lose mobility in his leg and would not walk for over a month. After a few testing, Issah was diagnosed with Leukemia. I am a divorced mother of 4 which 3 are under children all 10 years old and under. I recently purchased a brand new home for my children and me in January 2022. After the diagnosis in November 2022, I lose my job as a business development director due to not being about to be there and perform as needed, and Issah has chemotherapy 3-4 days a week 7-12 hours a day. I currently can not make my mortgage payment, I applied for Food Assistants through the state of Texas but have a very hard time receiving help. My family has been trying their best to help us but there is only so much they can do. I have tried every outlet provided to me at MD Anderson Center center social workers and I have not met any foundation that can help at this time. I want to be able to keep my home which I worked so hard to purchase for my kids to have a beautiful and stable home to grow up in and to be able to pay for a reliable vehicle to transport my children. I have faith that this stage in our lives will get better by the Grace of God. I truth God and what he is currently doing in our lives.
