I have wonderful insurance but it only covers standard of care treatment. Unfortunately intratumoral immunotherapy treatments are not considered standard of care. I was offered standard of care immunotherapy treatments and insurance would have covered them. I was just terrified of the risks and side effects that were revealed by my research on those treatments.  I checked patient reviews of the treatments that my insurance would cover and I just could not bring myself to do them. The reviews given related incidents of Death caused by organ failures after receiving one treatment.  Some reviews stipulated that – Patients that were active and had a fair quality of life experienced becoming bedridden. Some patients had experienced strokes or cardiac arrest. So my insurance is currently covering cisplatin chemotherapeutic treatments. I am hoping to obtain intratumoral immunotherapy treatments from the Williams cancer institute. Intratumoral immunotherapy is less risky because the immunotherapy drugs are delivered into the tumors. The immunotherapy dosages required for the treatments are smaller.  The decreased dosages lessen the risks to the patient. Since the treatments are not currently standard of care my insurance will not cover them. I am a seventy two year old female. I reside in northeast Florida. My income is 23500 yearly. My diagnosis is endometrial cancer stage four B. My cancer has metastasized so I am receiving treatment for a tumor on my lung and on my liver. I am fairly healthy. I am able to get about on my own. I have a fair quality of life and I am hoping to sustain that into my nineties, god willing
