We are raising money for Wyatt to have a Trexo! This a robotic assistant to help him in strengthening his legs and give him the ability to learn to walk and maintain a natural gait. This device is not covered under insurance and is very costly. We want to give Wyatt every opportunity to be successful and to become independent. Wyatt is such has shown great preserevance to be independent. He dreams to one day walk on his own. The trexo would be of great assistance to move towards his dream. Being able to give him this device would be a great step towards assisting him to reach for the stars! Wyatt was born with hypotonia, poor muscle tone. He is very smart and funny! He works hard in school even though it is sometimes a challenge. He strives to do well with all of his therapies currently! Giving Wyatt independence by using the trexo device allows for his confidence to grow and strive to reach new goals. Wyatt faces many challenges everyday from not having his independence, like going to a different room in the house to get a different toy to using the bathroom unassisted. By learning to walk most of his daily challenges would removed and a thing of the past. Wyatt has a drive to be better and make his life a successful and giving one. Those of us able body lose sight of how many challenges a person can have without having the ability to ! As his parents we want to provide ever opportunity we can to make his life a success. Wyatt also wants to become a doctor to help other children, specifically as he says, a “sleepy doctor”, an anesthesiologist.
