Recently, I became unable to move or even stand. After 6 weeks in a nursing home I was sent home, fully expecting my insurance company to begin providing care-taker services quickly. I could no longer get myself in or out of bed, nor attend to my daily physical needs. However, it took 6 weeks before the insurance company finally found a provider agency that could provide the care-givers twice a day. I can no longer get in or out of bed by myself. The morning and evening care-givers have to use a Hoyer lift to get me in and out of bed, as well as provide personal hygiene services.
During that 6 weeks we borrowed money to pay for care-giver services until the insurance kicked in. We ended up paying about $6,300 to a private non-insurance covered agency during that 6 weeks. I’d like to raise enough money to repay the loan. We paid $25 an hour for a 3-hour minimum shift, or $150 per day. $150 per day equals $1050 per week, for 6 weeks that equals $6300. If 84 people donated $75 each that goal would be met.
God has been very good to me during my 80 years of life. He has allowed me to live 23 years after a stroke in 2000. I know God uses many ways to provide our needs, and quite often He uses generous people to meet needs of people like me. If He leads you to help me, I will greatly appreciate your kindness.
