Hi, my name is Kim. I am a 42-year-old mother of four, I am a server for a living which I have done for 23 years now, but I will be out of work for 6 plus weeks to have back surgery. It all started when I was in a horrible car accident back in 2001. My car went 15 feet off an embankment; it caused many issues with my back. I have 2 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and slipped vertebrae. I have suffered for many years from it, and along with other health issues I have, I deal with chronic pain on a daily. I have put off having surgery repeatedly, trying all the other options that were available to me. I have done physical therapy, had nerve blocks & epidurals, and taken meds for years just so I can tolerate the pain just enough to perform my normal everyday routine. Still, it’s definitely been a struggle, especially during flare-ups I have a hard time sometimes walking months on end. Now I have begun falling often, I have numbness and tingling in my arms, leg and right foot I can no longer a avoid surgery it’s now causing permanent nerve damage and could potentially paralyze me if I don’t get it taken care of my surgery is scheduled for next month, and I am stressing over keeping my bills paid and food in the house during recovery time, so if you are able to help any at all, I would be more than appreciative. I hate asking for help, but I work every chance I get, and like many, I live day to day with what I’ve been blessed with, and just very little could drown me to the point I may never get caught back up. I’m nervous, but I know I have God by my side, and he will see me through if you’re unable to help, just please keep my family and me in your prayers. Thanks so much!
