Donna’s emotional rollercoaster began in the Fall of 2023 when tests confirmed that she has breast cancer. An affliction that is usually associated with “other people”.
She’s had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and will hopefully not have to have any more. She’s now planning & preparing – in more ways than one – for surgery, which will result in an intense recovery.
To help ease stress with the financial pressure, a group of close friends & family have approached The Lakanen’s about this crowdfunding campaign. For this first phase, our goal is to raise enough money to help cover their deductibles and some living expenses from lost wages.
We are so fortunate to have the love & support of so many friends, co-workers, community members, and our host of dear family during this time. We are not alone.
It helps the rest of us to have an outlet to help The Lakanen’s during this challenging phase.
