I was diagnosed with stage three chronic kidney disease in November of 2022. This was due to the use of ibuprofen to help try to control migraine pain. Within a year, it has fast progressed to End Stage Renal Disease, now requiring dialysis three days a week. . Now being disabled, has put a much tighter grip on our shoe string budget. We had been hit by some rather large expenses for the cars (each being over ten years old), a new hot water heater, a furnace over haul and were defrauded for $2,500. We also need repairs to the house and possibly modifications to accommodate my new situation. My husband works for a city utility and has been working as much over time and on call as he can to help with the bills. Our older daughter works for a local school district, but of course, we all know that these employees are grossly under paid. Be that as it may, she still helps out as much as she possibly can. Unfortunately our younger daughter is unable to work at this time due to physical, emotional, social and learning issues. Suddenly becoming disabled, after working, some times multiple, jobs and being very active in our community and with the Horseheads Women of the Moose is been quite hard, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Both my wonderful daughters immediately jumped to say they wanted to be tested to try to donate one of their kidneys, as well as my husband and brother. Any small amount you could give would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! And, it’s Tax deductible 😊
