So, I was diagnosed with a dislocated IOL Intra ocular lens for cataracts a couple months ago. I went to the doctor to try to get surgery, but they will not do it unless I pay them 700 to 1600 out of pocket even with insurance. A Iol is a permanent lens that goes inside your eye like a contact lens but permanently. The one I have has become dislocated which is very rare to happen so now my vision is blurry and I can actually see the lens floating inside my eye. I need surgery but I do not have no funds to get it done because of other bills I am struggling with I also may have to find a place to live in December. I also have a permanent lens in my other eye as well but that one is fine for now, but you never know it may do the same. It very frustrating to work with lights the glare really bothers me, and it is getting hard to drive with one eye closed to go to work. Try closing 1 eye for long periods of time or the lights hitting it causing glare, or constantly seeing a lens float inside your eyeball it makes me want to cry. With both eyes open it looks like im looking out of a dirty glass. If my other lens in my good eye becomes dislocated as well, I will be blind completely. If anyone is willing to help you can donate to my campaign anything helps even a dollar. I really need to get this surgery so I can see well again.
