My dental office has worked with me to carry out the needed care knowing that money was forthcoming through this campaign, and I have made a number of payments with the funds that have already been released to me.
I now feel confident enough in this situation to make the vision appointment that I had cancelled because of the pending dental bills.
Original request: I have two badly decayed teeth that I have put off having treated due to the high cost of dental care. Dental insurance covers annual teeth cleaning but nothing more. As we know, annual cleaning is less than recommended but it is better than none at all. Both decayed teeth need extensive prep and crowns placed. If this is not addressed soon they will require root canals and more extensive dental surgery, so time is of the essence. As an ordained person, I have very little income. I know it is a tough time for everyone, and I greatly appreciate your consideration. We’re all experiencing the increased cost of living without a similar increase in resources. The site wants me to tell you about myself. Most of you know me or you wouldn’t be reading this. But in case you do not. I am an ordained Buddhist monastic and live mostly off Social Security. I have delayed both medical care and dental care in the past few years due to the high cost. As you may know, the US is the only western nation that does not provide medical care for its citizens. This has become challenging due to the chronic conditions I also need to have treated.
Now I am thankful to have Medicare that covers most of those medical expenses. However, dental and vision care are not included. I would like to thank a friend who suggested this so that I can prevent my teeth from deteriorating further.
