My name is Carol Eccel and I am a 68-year-old widow. My husband, Jim and I moved to Washington State in 2007 to help as staff pastors in a church. We were pastors of the seniors. In 2014 we bought a mobile home and we were loving life. We were happy, little did we know, we only had six years left together. Jim died suddenly on January 2, 2020 of a major stroke. My life changed in a moment of time. With my best friend gone, I went forward as best as I could. I felt God with me at every turn. After that, I now have health issues with my heart, I live the best life I can with that. A few months ago my roof started leaking. We had problems with that before, and always patched it up, but this time it didn’t help. I called all the referral numbers I had for different health organizations, but they didn’t have the funds and I guess I just fell through the cracks. I did have it looked at and I need a new roof. I don’t have that kind of money on SSI. Replacing a metal roof would cost about $15,000. I’m having open heart surgery soon and now my kitchen ceiling is starting to fall in.
The Bible says I have not because I ask not. I know this time of year is not a good time to ask for money, but I have to. Please consider donating. God bless you.
