My brother Gary, has a past due balance of $3,932.17 owing to Texas Medicaid dropping him: during the renewal process Medicaid wanted his bank statements, which were provided, but in refusing coverage, Medicaid said they did not receive the correct ones. This has been rectified, and Medicaid will start again in late May. I do not currently have a job, just a limited income from Social Security, so I am asking for help to get caught up. My other brother, Chris is now in the hospital, so this bill for Gary has come as a real shock. I have been the principle care giver for my brothers for forty three years, mostly without assistance. I am hoping that someone, in this economy, has the funds and heart to help Gary out. He cannot walk, has a pubic tube, and has quite a large number of medications. This level of care is well beyond my limited abilities.
I do not know what to say: James 2:14-26 says it best, I think “14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
