Hi my name is LaKeesha Murray I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2012. Every day is a battle for me since I had 3 reoccurrences since my original diagnosis. I am a mother of a 23-year-old, a 18-year-old, and a nine-year-old. I was pregnant with my nine year old when I was originally diagnosed. Due to the constant reoccurrences of the cancer every day I fight for my life to stay here and be a mom for my kids. My kids are a motivation for me to live and to strive for greatness. My oldest daughter is working on becoming a chef and one day opening restaurants, my 18-year-old son is about to go to college and focus on business and criminology, and my youngest daughter the one who I was pregnant with when I was originally diagnosed is nine and her name is Aaliyah and you will hear her name again one day when she’s in the Olympics. I can’t work right now because of the cancer and I’m on Social Security. I get one check a month and that check pays the rent and utilities and then there is no money left. All the money I get goes to bills barely. My daughter does gymnastics and she requires a lot of financial blessings to keep her in the sport that she loves and uses as therapy to focus on instead of her mother who she constantly worries about. For all my kids I want them to focus on their life and live but they say they rather take care of me and be with me. It’s hard. My daughter competes in gymnastics so I just been trying my best to raise money for her and pay bills and keep a roof over our heads. It has been hard but with prayer and talking to God every day life seems to come together in the end. I am praying for a miracle, a financial blessing, and some form of support along the way. Thank you so much for listening to me as I share my story in a short form. God bless.
