Hello, my name is Brenda and I am the mother of Channing Reynolds, a 49-year-old young man and my only child. He is the proud father of 2 sons and a 1-year-old grandson which he adores.

In early July of 2023, Channing was admitted to the emergency room of the local hospital for sever jaundice, sever stomach pain and nausea. After some laboratory testing, he was transported to the University of Iowa medical center to have stents inserted into the bile ducts between the pancreas and the liver. After some recovery time he underwent a procedure to biopsy suspected tumors in the pancreas, liver and surrounding organs. The results confirmed him to be diagnosed with Stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer that has spread to his gall bladder, liver, stomach and intestines.

His oncologist team has put together a treatment plan that includes 6 months of 3 different types of Chemotherapy treatment followed by a very aggressive Whipple surgery which will require removal of the gall bladder and portions of the pancreas, liver, stomach and intestines. This will result in a very long and difficult recovery period.

In spite of this devastating news, Channing is trying to continue to work but the side effects from the chemotherapy are making it very difficult to do this. Plus, his doctors have told him he will not be able to continue working.

As many of you know fighting cancer is an overwhelming financial burden.

Channing is fighting for his life! I hope you find it in your heart to donate to help my son during this very challenging time with his medical bills and living expenses.

I thank you in advance from my heart, as a mother, for your compassion and generosity.
