Chameleon Unleashed® is proud to announce our new holiday fundraiser, where we along with our chameleons (that’s you!) help raise money for a specific charity each year. This year we have chosen Interact of Wake County, a domestic violence awareness charity focusing on the lives of adults and families affected by domestic violence in North Carolina, and specifically the Wake County area. Chameleon Unleashed was founded in North Carolina, so we feel this will be the perfect opportunity to give back! Chameleon Unleashed will be one of the companies working to raise money for gifts to provide to families at the charity’s annual Holiday Bazaar. Interact’s Holiday Bazaar makes the holiday brighter by helping families rebuild their lives after leaving an abusive home. Last year, the Holiday Bazaar served more than 150 families, including nearly 300 children.
At the Bazaar, children are provided with an opportunity to design holiday arts and crafts, “shop”, and wrap a gift basket to give to their mother for the holidays. While the children are completing their activities, mothers are taken to another area of the building where they can “shop” for toys and gifts for their children. Each mother is sent home with wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, tape and labels to prepare gifts for their children. Each family is also given a disposable camera to capture their holiday memories. Chameleon Unleashed plans to match your donation with acceptable gifts and gift cards listed on Interact’s 2016 Holiday Bazaar Gift Guide.
Chameleon Unleashed will be accepting monetary donations on GiveTaxFree.org from December 1 – 8. We will be making gift baskets with items from the Interact gift guide, using all donations made through this website. All donations received by December 5th will go towards the gift basket. All items received after December 5th will be added to gift cards to give to families.
Our goal is to raise at least $500 to go towards gifts for families that Interact assists everyday. Also, please remember that all donations made through GiveTaxFree.org will serve as a tax write off. Please follow the necessary steps when making a donation to see how that process works. We look forward to this wonderful time of giving, and can’t wait to share with team chameleon all the items we were able to buy for wake county families in need. We cannot do this alone.
