Hello, my name is Yolanda and I’m hoping to raise 50,00.00 to help pay off medical bills from a three-week stay in the hospital. I had a full hysterectomy and the removal of a tumor mass. During recovery, I developed an infection and was later diagnosed with stage 3 sarcoma uterus cancer. I have good insurance but the hospital I was admitted to during an emergency Kidney infection and fibroid inflammation wasn’t in the network. After a week in the hospital, the mass was detected and I had to have emergency surgery because it was affecting my other organs. My insurance paid for all the doctors in their network but there were a lot of procedures and doctors not covered. I ended up with around $30,00.00 in medical debt. I’m self-employed and had to cut my hours due to the chemotherapy. I have been receiving chemo for about three months, and for the most part, I’m able to manage. Some weeks are hard and I can barely get out of bed, but I have to work in order to get paid. My family are great and help out as much as they can but it’s not enough. I have exhausted my savings and after paying all of my other bills there’s nothing left. I would like to be able to take off when the pain is too much and not have to worry about how I will survive from missing those hours. I know it’s hard with the economic decline but every little bit counts and adds up. Thanks in advanced and I appreciate whatever you’re able to give.
