Hello!
My name is Bob. I live in Boise Idaho. I am a 58 year old electrician and a singer-songwriter. I find myself in an embarrassing situation in asking for help. Usually, I am the one offering help. As an electrician for 30+ years, I have been able to help those in need by donating my skills, free of charge to those in need. I volunteer my time and talent in my neighborhood to keep the irrigation pumps running for 160+ homes. I reach out to my elderly neighbors to help them with their sprinkler systems. At my church, I have offered my expertise in the upkeep, maintenance and improvement of the offices and church building. I have been providing music at Sunday Services for over 40 years sharing my musical talent. I have happily donated my time and talent to sing at many funerals, weddings and events without charge. I feel like I “may” have some good karma stored up in the universe somewhere.
Unfortunately, my dental genetics are not the best. I have had a lifetime of mouth pain and tooth pain. I would not wish that on my worst enemy. After this last bout of crisis dentistry, my doctor told me it was time for dental implants. He said I would need to act soon to minimize bone loss in my jaw and to improve the outcome of the procedure. At this exact point in life, I am not in a position to fund this on my own. I’m not sure how this crowd funding thing works but I thought I’d give it a try. It greatly humbles me to do so.
I do pledge to pay it forward. If this works for me, I want to donate to others who are in similar situations of need. I feel that to be an appropriate gesture to keep the wave of assistance rolling.
So….
If you are moved to help out my campaign, I thank you. I pray for you. You, quite literally, are helping me to smile again. If you are reading this and chose not to donate, I thank you. I pray for you. Clearly, just by reading these words, you care deeply about helping those in need.
Lastly, whatever you chose, thank you for your time. It’s not easy for me to ask for help, let alone accept it. Maybe a little dose of humility is just what I need.
Take a look, if you will, at some of the other campaigns on this site. There are so many others in need. Before donating to mine, please consider them first.
Thank you
God Bless
Bob
