Brian was diagnosed with colorectal cancer stage 3a, T2N1 in August 2022 after a routine colonoscopy. His treatment is TNT Total Neoadjuvant Treatment. He had 8 rounds of chemo Folfox and 5FU, a few weeks break, and then 28 radiation treatments. He has been able to work most of the time during his treatments with the exception of 8 weeks during chemo while on the chemo pump and for occasional time off needed for tests ordered which conflicted with his work schedule. The CT scan after treatments showed the tumor is gone, but the surgeon wants to laparoscopically remove the surrounding lymph nodes and wall where the tumor was located. This will require a colostomy for 10 weeks, then reversal with another 10 weeks and another additional 4 weeks of no heavy lifting. He is looking at approximately 6 months with no income as he cannot work during the timeframe required to finish his treatment.  Brian is married to a stay-at-home mom while caring for their 10 school-age and younger children. His truck driving job making deliveries is not something he can do during this time. Financially he needs income over those 6 months to provide for his family, while he is working at healing himself to return to the job he loves. Brian was on target to make close to 200k last year until he started losing some time on his delivery runs to make appointments on time. In order to help him not have to worry about finances, as there is no other income except his, I have set up this campaign to help ease the burden they face.
