Brenda is known by most to be a fun, loving and trustworthy friend but she is also one of the strongest, most resilient and supportive mothers we could ask for. We were all caught off guard when we found out the news of her aggressive cancer, stage 2 (now being called 3) invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast. This has affected her life more than initially expected, forcing her to drive back and forth between West Palm Beach and Marathon to receive her weekly chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments all while continuing to work full time. Her body has taken a toll from all the medications and she still has a long journey to go, with upcoming surgery and possibly more chemotherapy to come. To be able to afford medical treatment, she will have to continue working as she is recovering, but we are all trying to help her to the best of our abilities so she can conserve her body energy and remain strong enough to fight off (AND BEAT!!) this cancer. We are reaching out to her friends and loved ones with a page we started to raise funds for her medical treatments. We are not expecting anything but have received a tremendous amount of support from people who are asking to help out ♥️ We are very grateful that Brenda has so many prayer warriors watching over her. Our only prayer is for her to be happy and healthy and back to the person she’s always been. We want to thank you all so much; may God bless you and we wish you all happy holidays! – Amitie & Cienna

Update – We greatly appreciate all the love and support we have received from everyone. Since we last shared her story, Brenda had her bilateral mastectomies and is currently recovering well. Unfortunately, her pathology report did not come back as we hoped and she still had some residual tumor after completing her first round of chemotherapy. We sought as much advice as possible, all leading to the same conclusion that she would have to undergo a second round of chemotherapy, this time much more aggressive. She has completed 1 session thus far with an unfortunate amount of side effects. She is still receiving immunotherapy as well so the chemotherapy does not destroy her defenses at the same time. She has been out of work since January due to all the treatments and procedures. It goes without saying that the challenges are not over yet, but we are still cheering her on and she’s fighting with all of her might. Please continue to pray for her and encourage her.
