I am Breast Cancer Survivor, a Queen, a Mother, a Daughter, a Friend, and an inspiration to many. I am Joyce and breast cancer has really affected my life within the last 3 years. My surgery for a bilateral mastectomy was done on 5/17. I have been overwhelmed by this diagnosis. Before going on leave, I lost some days at work and emotionally, I’m devastated, but I remain positive. I’m scared of leaving my children. My two adult children went through a lot, especially the losing my son 10 years ago. I just want some help in any way, especially since I don’t make that much financially. Anything right now can help me with my bills. I am a mother, a healthcare worker, and a nontraditional student working to accomplish my goal of becoming a Lawyer who believes in Equal Justice for all, especially women and children.
