      The Battle Beginning

While the battle is currently with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, this battle really began in 2017.

One morning Brandon woke up struggling to breath.  At urgent care he was told he had bronchitis, was given some medication and sent on his way.    Scheduled to leave town for work in just a few days Brandon attempted to rest as much as he could. But the following day his symptoms only got worse. After a return trip to the urgent care he was scheduled for a CT of his chest with a urgent read out requested.   The images from the CT showed Brandon had Bilateral Pulmonary Emboli, blood clots in both lungs. The eventual diagnosis would be Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome.  APS is a rare disorder that causes blood clots to form quickly.  Many more clots would be found all over his body.  This is where Brandon’s Battle with health issues began.  Brandon was a perfectly health young man until that day in 2017. Since then his battle has been long and hard, leading to another diagnosis of sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis has been found in the lungs, lymph nodes, heart, and kidneys.   Brandon has seen kidney failure, received an IVC filter to  keep blood clots from traveling, and even had a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted.   While Brandon has faced everything with a tremendous attitude, knowing God has a plan for him, it has not been financially easy on him and his wife Ashley.

Brandon and Ashley were expecting a baby boy on 4-17, but because of some complications Baby Beau Owen came into this world on 3-21 via emergency C-section.  Beau weighed a healthy 5lbs 13oz, but because of some lung issues he has remained in the NICU.

Brandon is scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy, brain MRI, chest CT, PET scan, echocardiogram, and pulmonary function test.  After test results come in, he is slated to begin chemotherapy.  Langerhans cell histiocytosis has caused a large tumor to grow in his skull behind his left eye.  The tumor needs to be shrunk to take the pressure off of his eye.

Between Brandon’s past health battles, most recent diagnosis and premature birth of baby Beau their little family is in need of a financial boost

This is our chance to give back to Brandon who has given so much of himself to others over the years. This is our time to Battle for Brandon.
