My name is Chiquita Davis, I’m 43 years old. I had a stroke back in June of this year and it has been very hard living from day to day. My doctor has told me I can’t return back to work because of the situation the stroke has put me in. I was in a coma for a month and a half with a tract in my throat. When I woke up, I knew where I was but I didn’t know what day it was or what month or week it was. I was lost. I couldn’t walk, talk, or anything when I first woke up. By the grace of God I’ve done therapy and I’m walking with a walker now. I can’t seem to find my way right now because of my disability. The nurses at the hospital while I was there were calling it a miracle because they say they pulled out my 1st tract and said I was ready to go home because I was hungry. Like, I told them I don’t remember anything while I was under all that medicine. It’s been hard to pay bills because everyone is struggling so I decided to get on this website after going to all the community agencies, asking family members, and churches for some help. I really would appreciate if anyone out the kindness of their heart read my story and would really help me please. I’m not asking for a whole lot I’m asking for a little help to keep me out the cold. It would be greatly appreciated. My left hand and leg were the most damaged when I had the stroke. That was also my dominant side. I really can’t do anything with that side now. My foot is really numb and both of them hurt every day, all day long. I’m asking please can I get a little help to keep me out the cold this winter? I’ve been trying to get something online but it’s been hard since I really don’t have enough experience with the types of work that’s on line. My sons have been doing great with helping me with the bills, but it’s hard taking care of 2 homes. If anyone could find it in their hearts to help me it would be greatly appreciated.
