In October 2022 our great friend, Tonya Arcangeli, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Leiomyosarcoma.
As a single mother of a beautiful 9 year old daughter she has made one of the toughest decisions a mother could make which is to fight. Tonya has chosen quantity of life over quality of life to spend as much time with her daughter until the inevitable/good Lord calls her home.
With that said, Tonya has had to quit her job of 11 years, has had 2 major surgeries to remove most of her tumors and has now begun her chemotherapy treatment to slow the progression of the ones that were unable to be removed. Tonya is now on chemo treatment 3 of 6 which leaves her in the hospital a few days each time. Despite everything Tonya has gone through up to this point she continues to remain positive.
Since losing her job, Tonya has already let her car go back and will soon lose her home. Her disability will not begin until April of this year. Dr.’s have already informed her that her condition is in fact terminal and they are trying everything they can to get her to her daughter’s 10th birthday in May.
Tonya’s mother, who is disabled, is currently staying with her and helping with her and her granddaughter as much as possible. They are making it through one day at a time as anyone would during this difficult time.
All donations, no matter the amount, will go towards creating lasting memories for a mother and daughter in mom’s final months.
