If you are receiving this, you know Tovia Safford and have likely received a warm hug from this wise and caring woman. You may or may not know that she has been living with breast cancer for the past 13 years. With her hands tending the earth or massaging postpartum mothers, Tovia is always supporting and caring for her community and family. This is our opportunity to show our reciprocity.
Tovia has been living in the high-desert mountains of Taos for 36 years. We are fortunate to have her as our friend, community member, family member, elder, mother, teacher, herbalist, postpartum doula, healer, mentor, student, and devoted lover of the Earth.
Tovia was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. Early on, she underwent three rounds of chemotherapy after two lumpectomies, which unfortunately did not bring remission. Thanks to her extensive studies in natural healing, she has been able to thrive by walking both the allopathic and holistic paths together.
However, this winter, things began to take a difficult turn. The hormone blockers and endocrine therapy that had kept the cancer at bay for the past five years stopped working, allowing the cancer to progress. She began experiencing intense pain and helplessly watched the cancer spread. She has exhausted the treatment options available through New Mexico Medicaid while being told there is no cure. It is time for her to receive personalized, professional care. In order to do this, she needs our financial support.
Your generous donation will enable Tovia to receive daily care for one month at The Euromed Foundation, along with nearby housing in North Phoenix, Arizona, and months of follow-up visits. Tovia has specifically chosen this clinic because it offers the integrative protocols she believes her body will respond to best. Unless we meet our goal, she will not have access to this opportunity.
The Euromed Foundation has had success treating this exact type of cancer for many other women. As soon as we generate the funds needed, she will be able to begin treatment. We want to get her out of pain and into treatment as quickly as possible. She is eager to receive the integrative protocols offered by Euromed, and your support will help meet this urgent need and keep Tovia thriving.
