My name is Rhyan Ross-Rainey, better known as Sunshine, and I am raising funds to aid my mother in the burial and funeral procession for our great mother, Charlene Ross.
My mother and I just lost my brother earlier last year, and I was in another country so I was unable to support her in her grief. I would like to help lighten the load by sending her funds, and giving her one less things to worry about.
Charlene was fierce, driven, and powerful as they come- the living world has truly lost a champion. She was one of eight girls, and has now gone on to join 3 others beyond.
At only 68 years old, she was taken away by maladies of the mind and various other things that she’d suffered for a long while.
In life, grandma inspired me to go after everything I wanted in life with NO hesitation, with every ounce of audacity I had to muster. When I was a child, she raised me for a while and she always encouraged and supported my artistic endeavors, she pushed for my education, she advocated for me at every turn. Its her that think of when I step up on stage to perform or share my art and poetry with the world. She was the first person I told before I left the US, and she was so proud of me. It is only my hope that I continue to honour her by living relentlessly in pursuit of my desires, and create something beautiful as she watches from the spirit realm.
