This campaign aims to raise funds to assist me and my family’s journey in dealing with my epilepsy. Donations will be used to cover the mounting medical expenses, treatments, medications, and related costs. My personal story, challenges, and hopes for managing this condition will unfold below. I am writing this with a heavy heart as I watch my family face the unknown. I may or may not get to be with them daily facing the great future that I believe is in store for us. I have been battling epilepsy for the past 7 years. The last attack was the most awful one yet. Coming back from vacation with family and having an attack right after crossing airport security. As I write this my tongue is chewed up, my body stiff and sore and my mind is still in a haze. The embarrassment and confusion battling for the most thoughts. My wife and two kids had to witness the attack and spring into action to help. These episodes are getting worse each year. Another doctor appointment scheduled for this Friday and a battery of tests will most likely leave us even more confused. I cannot take this anymore. Watching my family live on the edge while I am lying on the floor foaming from the mouth. My family has only been able to help bear the financial burden of so much with mounting medical bills, treatments and debt caused by this life-altering illness.
I would love to do anything to help ease the pain and burden that my wife and kids are going through but there is only so much I can do mentally and physically. I am reaching out and asking for some help. A small donation and sharing of our story will go a long way…Probably will move mountains!
