From Bekah and Brady:
There are moments in our lives where words cannot be found to express emotions. For us, this has been one of those times. Our cancer fighting journey began with a conversation about how we would attack cancer and everything that came with it to the fullest extent of our abilities and knowledge. Over the past three years, we have learned a lot about cancer, how it works and how it can be defeated. There are many strategies that we have discovered to help us in this fight, but like so many things there is a cost, and this cost is something that our family has struggled to absorb. We are dedicated to the fight, and we are hopeful that our journey and lessons learned can help to inspire and educate others. Your generosity has helped us to be able to utilize the various resources that have demonstrated great results in Bekah’s fight to maintain her health. We are humbled, encouraged, and so loved by your donations, prayers and words of encouragement. We believe in healing, and that it takes a village, and a lot of work to follow God’s plan for our lives. Your support means the world to us and it is such a helpful reminder that we can and should turn to others for help in times of need. The Lord is already showing us how we can encourage and help others as we use and bring awareness to all the resources He has provided for us. Thank you so much for removing the financial burden as we navigate and manage the next few years of healing. We are here for anyone that needs help, so please do not struggle alone or hesitate to ask. We are thankful for the Lord placing you in our lives. John 13:7 says, Jesus, washing his disciples’ feet, tells Peter, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand”.
Update: Thank you for the outpouring of support for Bekah and her family. They are definitely feeling the love and are so grateful. We are almost half way there! Please continue to share across all platforms to get the word out. Thanks again for your support! -Mal
In 2022, Bekah received the devastating news that she had an aggressive form of breast cancer. She underwent four months of chemo, a double mastectomy, lymph node removal and bypass, radiation, and twelve more rounds of chemo.
In efforts to make sure that the cancer does not return, she has worked the last few years with a naturopath following a strict diet and supplemental regimen. She has also worked hard to eliminate toxins from her environment and does regular detoxes to try and give her body the best chance to heal naturally.
As you can imagine, this has all come with a huge amount of mental, physical and financial strain. Supplements average $1200-1500 a month. She has tried to offset some of her costs by starting Hope and Lather (check out her website hopeandlather.com), a soap and cleaning products business, but it has not taken off the way she was hoping. Bekah has a year and a half with her youngest still at home and would like to continue with the supplemental protocol, but they are struggling to make ends meet on Brady’s single income.
Bekah and family have been greatly blessed by your support and prayers, but they could use financial help as well if you are in a position to give. Please prayerfully consider helping and lightening their burdens. Let’s show her that she doesn’t have to walk this path alone. Thank you. -Mal
Also, please pray as Bekah returns for an MRI in March to address some pain in her sternum.
