In January 2020, my son Matthew’s life changed forever when he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. At only 10 years old, he was forced to learn what most adults struggle to manage. Every single day since, he has had to prick his fingers, check his blood sugar, count every carb, and take insulin shots just to survive. While other teens grab snacks without worry or sleep in late, Matthew has lived under the constant weight of diabetes management. He has faced these daily challenges with a strength far beyond his years, always handling it with courage and a smile that continues to inspire everyone around him.

In August 2025, another storm struck our family. Doctors discovered that Matthew had developed brain and spinal cancer. The boy who had already carried so much was now facing radiation, strong medications, and countless hospital visits. The effects have been devastating. Headaches, dizziness, weakness, and fatigue have stolen away many of the simple joys of being a teenager. Instead of focusing on school, friends, and dreams for the future, his days are filled with treatments, test results, and the uncertainty of what tomorrow may bring. Through all of this, Matthew’s faith has never wavered. He believes his story is not just about sickness, but about a testimony of God’s strength, healing, and love. Our family is doing everything we can, but the financial strain of medical care, hospital stays, and daily living needs is overwhelming. Your support doesn’t just help cover expenses. It gives Matthew the chance to keep fighting, to reclaim his teenage years, and to continue writing his testimony of hope and victory.

Please join us in standing with Matthew. Be part of his testimony today.
